Our Story

For more than six decades, Lyddon Aero Center, Inc. has served the aviation industry as a third-generation, family-owned business. The company's origins date to 1965 when Bill Sr. established Lyddon Flying Service in LaJunta, Colorado. In 1975 Steve and Bill broadened the company's operations by assuming responsibility for the company to a second location in Lamar, Colorado. Fifteen years later the business relocated to Liberal, Kansas, where operations began on October 1, 1990. Today, Nathan Lyddon, who is a third generation family member, owns the company and continues to advance its growth with an interior division, Southwest Aviation Custom Interiors and helicopter maintenance. Steve and Bill remain actively involved as employees.
